Well, I’m going to try to convince you that you need to make Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks right now. Who doesn’t love cheese and bread? They just go together so well.  And what is even better than just cheese and bread? Warm bread with garlic and cheese melted on top. I know I don’t need to tell you just how absolutely simple the entire process is, because it takes only 10 minutes to prepare, plus You CAN USE JUST ABOUT ANY PIZZA DOUGH(your favorite homemade or store bought).

Word of advice – so easy, so cheesy, so good, but you should only make these bread sticks when surrounded by plenty of people to help you eat them.  Otherwise, you may end up eating all by yourself and no one to stop you

Ingredients

  • 1 (10 ounce) can prepared pizza crust
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese

I love Pillsbury crescents, they’re so versatile and I make all kinds of things with them. Of course you could also make your own dough for this breakfast, but why slave in the kitchen when you don’t have to. So this is such a quick breakfast and so delicious, you could literally use any ingredients. Perfect Sunday breakfast.

This breakfast ring is also perfect for brunch such as Easter brunch because it really is simple to make, hardest thing you have to do is fry some bacon and scramble the eggs.

Strawberry Rolls with Cream Cheese Icing – perfect for a weekend breakfast or brunch. Delicious sweet rolls with strawberry jam and fresh strawberries.

There’s just something about strawberries, they’re so sweet and amazing, one of my favorite berries.

I filled these rolls with strawberry jam and about a cup of fresh strawberries which I cut into small pieces, simply because when I eat the rolls I want to bite into strawberries. After all they are the star of this recipe.

Cinnabons Cinnamon Rolls – a cinnabon copycat recipe, about the closest you’ll get to the real thing. Super easy to make.

Who doesn’t love the cinnabons at the malls? Just walking by their stores and smelling these cinnabons baking, drives me up the walls. It’s very hard to keep on walking and not stop and spend $5 on a cinnabon.

I have made this recipe many times over the years and have used both butter and margarine. I believe Cinnabons are originally made with margarine, so if you want to have a true copycat recipe use margarine. Honestly they taste the same to me so it’s your choice, butter or margarine.

Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Sticks

Just like the restaurant-version, except it’s so much cheaper to make right at home and it tastes a million times better too!

We don’t eat out at Cheesecake Factory very often but when we make a visit there once in a blue moon for a big family gathering or celebration, these avocado egg rolls are always a must. And when the plate hits the table, we’re all fighting for the last one. Except, no one wants to be the person to actually grab the last egg roll. We all say, “Oh no, it’s all yours,” but we secretly want it all for ourselves.
Or is that just me?
Now if you are one of those peoples, then have no fear – here’s a homemade version that you can make right in the comfort of your own kitchen. And you can grab that last egg roll guilt free! Just be sure to keep an extra stash somewhere in the kitchen where no one else can find it.
But the best part about this recipe is not only does it taste a million times better than the restaurant version but it’s also unbelievably easy to make and so much cheaper to make right at home. Simply combine your avocado mixture, which is very close to guacamole, throw them in an egg roll wrapper and then into the skillet until they’re wonderfully crisp and golden brown.
Done and done.

These came together in just 20 minutes, and we devoured them in less than 5. It was so good, we made them again the very next day! And I’m sure they’ll be back on the menu this week. But I may just have to make them when Jason isn’t home because I am in no mood to share these.
CHEESECAKE FACTORY AVOCADO EGG ROLLS
It’s so much cheaper to make right at home and it tastes a million times better too!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 avocados, halved, peeled and seeded
  • 1 Roma tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro leaves
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 8 egg roll wrappers

FOR THE CILANTRO DIPPING SAUCE

  • 3/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves, loosely packed
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and deveined, optional
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

DIRECTIONS:

  1. To make the cilantro dipping sauce, combine cilantro, sour cream, jalapeno, mayonnaise, garlic and lime juice in the bowl of a food processor; season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium high heat.
  3. In a medium bowl, gently mash avocados using a potato masher. Add tomato, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, salt and pepper, to taste, and gently toss to combine.
  4. Working one at a time, place avocado mixture in the center of each wrapper. Bring the bottom edge of the wrapper tightly over the filling, folding in the sides. Continue rolling until the top of the wrapper is reached. Using your finger, rub the edges of the wrapper with water, pressing to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and avocado mixture.
  5. Working in batches, add egg rolls to the Dutch oven and fry until evenly golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
  6. Serve immediately with cilantro dipping sauce.

Cheesecake Factory Avocado Egg Rolls

My mother would make shrimp scampi quite often when I was growing up, but it always came out of the freezer. She’d stock up on those Costco shrimp scampi boxes where everything was prepackaged and all that was left to do was either microwave or heat through over stovetop. But now that I’ve tried this incredibly easy homemade version, I don’t know why anyone would opt for the freezer kind!
Easy Shrimp Scampi

This may be hard to believe but this really comes together in just 15 minutes. The only time consuming part may be the peeling of the shrimp, but if you’re short on time, you can even purchase the pre-peeled ones. Hey, I’m not one to judge – I’ve done that on several occasions, especially on those busy nights!

Once your shrimp is ready to go, you’ll saute that in a bit of butter, then you’ll deglaze with wine and lemon juice, and toss in that cooked linguine. You can garnish with some Parmesan cheese, and serve right out of the pan. Done and done! Now who still wants the freezer kind out of a box?

YIELD: 4 SERVINGS |
PREP TIME: 10 MINUTES | COOK TIME: 15 MINUTES
TOTAL TIME: 25 MINUTE

INGREDIENTS:

  • 8 ounces linguine
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, or more, to taste
  • 1/4 cup white wine*
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta according to package instructions; drain well.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add shrimp, garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook, stirring occasionally, until pink, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Stir in wine and lemon juice; season with salt and pepper, to taste. Bring to a simmer; remove from heat and stir in pasta, lemon zest and parsley.
  4. Serve immediately, garnished with Parmesan, if desired.
*Chicken stock can be used for white wine as a non-alcoholic substitute.
